Moorestown Distance Racing Information
The Moorestown Distance program uses racing thoughout the year in differnet ways. During summer and winter seasons, road races and triathlons offer an opportunity to get together with other runners, test your conditioning, and providing an alternative to the Long Slow Distance that dominates our off-season training. During the Cross Country and Track season,we use races as a building mechanism - learning how to run faster and more competitively.
Distance racing is both an individual and team sport. Each team member runs to better themselves and their own personal records. This provides the basis of having a large team with a diverse set of talents, abilities and desires. From a team perspective, we have shown over the years that pack running is the best way to make everyone better - hence our motto of
"The strength of the pack is the wolf and the strength of the wolf is the pack."
